Our Flavorful Journey
Champaran's Chulha, Handi Meat lovingly referred to as ahuna or batlohi, is a culinary treasure hailing from the heart of Champaran, a district in Bihar. This dish embodies the essence of tradition and taste.
In the making of Champaran's Chulha, meat is marinated in a harmonious blend of mustard oil, ghee, garlic, onions, and ginger, infused with a medley of aromatic spices. This marinated delight is then carefully placed inside an earthenware pot, where the mouth of the pot is sealed with kneaded flour. The magic unfolds as these pots are slow-cooked over coal for a duration exceeding 90 minutes
what sets this delectable dish apart is the distinctive taste imparted by the inclusion of whole garlic bulbs, cooked alongside the meat.
As this exquisite dish simmers away, an enchanting aroma of mutton stewing in mustard oil wafts through the air, creating a tantalizing anticipation among diners. The result is a culinary masterpiece that captivates taste buds and leaves a lasting impression. Champaran Meat is more than just a dish; it's a delightful journey of flavors, and its popularity continues to soar across the nation.
The magic happens as the dish is slowly cooked over a gentle wood fire with continuous tossing and attention to detail. The result is a culinary masterpiece, capturing the very essence of Indian flavors at their finest.
Champaran's Chulha tells a delicious story, where tradition meets taste, and where the art of slow cooking creates an unforgettable culinary experience.
